Privacy Policy

Draft: this is a plain-language starting point written to match how the app works. Have it reviewed before launch, especially once you add payments, updates or analytics.

The short version

Pocketry keeps what you copy on your Mac and nowhere else. We don’t run servers that receive your clipboard, and the app contains no analytics or tracking.

What the app stores, and where

• Your clipboard history (text, images and file references), snippets and settings, in a folder on your Mac (Library/Application Support/Pocketry).
• Entries that look sensitive are hidden and deleted after two minutes by default. Copies from password managers are not recorded.
• You can export, clear or delete this data at any time from Settings, or by deleting the folder.

AI features

Summarize, clean up, translate and your custom actions run on Apple’s on-device language model. Text recognition in images uses Apple’s on-device Vision framework. Your content is not sent to us or to any third party.

Permissions

The app can ask for Accessibility access so it can paste into other apps and expand snippets while you type. It uses this only for those purposes. It does not record your keystrokes beyond the few characters needed to match a snippet keyword, and those are never saved.

Purchases and updates

Payments are handled by our payment provider, which receives the information needed to process your order (such as name, email and payment details). We receive your name, email and order details to provide your license and support. License checks and update checks, if enabled, send only your license key and app version.

This website

This website does not use advertising trackers. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs for security and reliability.
